Batam Trip '09
Disclaimer : Longggg photolog coming.
So we started out the Batam trip with a visit to the Kek Lapis Factory. (which didn't really have that many nice Kek Lapis, but whatever.)

There was even a room to sit and chill and eat kek lapis, so that you can preorder it before you go home.
After that, we bussed to the place where they sold a lot of Keropoks. I bought some for the boy - because he loves them so much. Hahaha. Next time I'll buy them elsewhere. SO EXPENSIVE OVER THERE.

Huda & I

Haha. Dilarang Kecing. HAHAHA. It's either money or pee. :P

After that, we went to DC Mall where Mak Lang went crazy and bought lots and lots of Perfume!

And get this : One bottle of perfume costs FIVE SINGAPORE DOLLARS!! It comes with the original packaging and everything. Hahahaa.. I bought Ralph Lauren and Paris Hilton. K, no. Mak Lang bought them for me. :D:D:D
Hud and I also bought lots and lots of dresses, and here's Hakim in one of them. Hahaha.

Obviously we've checked into the hotel by this time. Haha. Yes, after shopping then check in. :P

Then it's outdoors again for lunch and flying-fox and Go-Karts!
In Batam there are 3 kinds of cabs : the car ones, the van ones and the motorcycle ones. And they ALLLLL honk and you.

Only Hakim got on the flying fox. I was too lazy. And Huda was too sleepy. So yeah.

His face before and after didn't change much. I think he was really really pale. Hahahaha. So funny lah can. The flying-fox thingy was actually dangerous, i think. It goes over a road AND the narrow part of some lake.
I didn't take any pictures of the Go-karts. Lots are in Mak Lang's camera. Shrugs.
Day 2 :

Started the day with Breakfast in a super-crowded hotel dining room filled with smelly smokers. Ah well, the baked potatos were nice. :)

Hakim and Ammar were decked out in their Ferrari and Kawasaki shirts respectively, all purchased the day before.

And yeah, technically it was just shopping shopping shopping and more shopping so I didn't take any more pictures until it was time for the ferry ride home.

Was kinda crowded on the Ferry, but it was fun. :D I think I stood out there for more than an hour. Haha. I like. :D

Mak Uteh came to join me, and she asked me to take this photo so that she can make her kids jealous. Hahaha..

We saw a huge tanker up close. It was filled with Containers, and it made such huge waves that it totally made our ferry dip really low, and then really high. Hahaha.

Tanker sailing off into the sunset.

Can you seeeeeee??????? There's a man on the left and a woman on the right, and she's holding a bouquet!! No? Just me then.

If you can't see this one then you're BLIND.

Cable cars at Dusk.
And that's the end of the Batam trip. Total damage : $230.
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Inclusive of hotel stay, shopping, 1st day lunch, dinner, 2nd day breakfast and lunch, flying-fox, and tour. :)
K bye.

And then I got home, went to work, had food poisoning, and I'm currently in bed updating this blog. Food poisoning sucks.

"Those Little Sh*ts."
So I spent the morning with my Sec 1s, then it was off to town with the boy! hahaha.
And in town, in front of Paragon, we saw a couple of pigeons bathing in the fountain water. The boy whipped out his camera, and so did I. And so did these two Ang Moh tourists.
And just as we were about to snap a picture of the cute little things dipping their heads into the water, three little children came.
And chased away the pigeons. LITERALLY IN FRONT OF US.
It's not so much the kids who made me irritated. It was the parents who SAW us trying to take a photo of the birds, who just didn't do anything to discipline their kids. One of the little girls actually scooped up dirty water and threw it at the birds (and yeah, guess who else got slightly wet?)
So the lady ang moh turns to me, and just says, with a slightly irritated expression, "Those little shits." And all I could say was (because I was more than slightly irritated, having taken out my camera for nothing, "Yeah." *rolls eyes*
After that, we bought some food and drinks and went off to Marina Barrage to watch the sun set!
So here are pictures!

Silhouette of The Boy.

We got there as the sun was setting.

Orangey love. :)

Dusk.

Night. Hahahaha. Illuminated Cattails. :)
And that's all I have. And eh you, please quickly-quickly make it happen! LOL. K. bye.
